GUANTANAMO CIRCUS, the documentary of performers who visit the prison at Guantanamo Bay and perform for the inmates of the notorious detention facility which is shrouded in secrecy and controversy. Inhuman conditions, treatment of the detainees, and the unusual experience of performing for “terrorists,” is shared with the trailer and film clips by director Christina Linhardt in this BYOD interview.

 

Guest Bio

Christina Linhardt has had a versatile career as a singer, actress, dancer and producer. She’s performed all over the world including the opening of the Grand Concert Hall Parksalle in Saxony Germany and the re-opening of the Palace Lingner. It was an expedition to the Top Secret Military Base of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to perform as the coquette opera singer with the VampHear Circus, that inspired her film GUANTANAMO CIRCUS.

Chirstina and a hardy troupe of circus performers were cleared by the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security and the Pentagon in order to take their act to the home of one of the most notorious prisons in the world, Guantanamo Bay. The film won the 2013 Hollywood FAME Award for Best
