LLYN FOULKES ONE MAN BAND, the documentary about the eccentric artist and musician, is shared by director Tamar Halpern. We discuss the manic talent and volatile creativity that caused Foulkes to abandon his success as a visual artist, end a marriage, and go on a continuing creative bender for decades in this uncensored BYOD interview that highlights the film and the mystery that is Llyn Foulkes.

 

Guest Bio

Tamar Halpern is the co-director and co-producer of LLYN FOULKES ONE MAN BAND, along with Chris Quilty. This is her first feature documentary which began after casting Foulkes as an actor in her feature Your Name Here. They continued filming for seven more years until Foulkes was at last rediscovered by the art world. Tamar also wrote and directed Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, starring Mira Sorvino, Michael Urie and Joe Pantoliano and Shelf Life, starring Betsy Brandt of Breaking Bad.
