A St. Patrick’s Day video message from Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott calling on his nation to celebrate their Irish heritage has been rejected by Irish Prime Minister Taoiseach Enda Kenny who believes it perpetuates a “stage Irish perception.” The video has caused an outcry in Ireland for its stereotypical view of Irish people making numerous references to the color green, drinking Guinness and singing.
