Boko Haram & the Famine Starving West Africa

Boko Haram has fallen victim to a major food crisis it created, according to the New York Times, which recently reported that the Islamist extremist group is attacking villages only for the purpose of stealing livestock and any food they can round up instead of burning homes and abducting hostages. According to the Times, the hunt for food is a result of the group’s attacks in North-Eastern Nigeria, which led many food vendors, farmers and herdsmen to flee the area leaving the terrorists with no option but to go hungry.
