Border Crisis For Obama and Republicans

More Original News ↓

Synopsis

John Boehner and Darrell Issa have criticized President Obama after he asked for emergency funds from Congress to the tune of 3.7 billion dollars to address the crisis at the border where juveniles from Central America are being detained as protected refugees. The detainees are now creating a backlog due to the large number who are being caught and waiting to hear whether or not they will be allowed across the border. Boehner has said that we need to secure the border in order to move ahead with immigration reform, as he essentially believes that Obama is continuing to deal with the problem instead of stopping it. Congressman Darrell Issa has also chimed making statements similar to those of Boehner. We discuss what is actually being done about the humanitarian crisis at the border, in this Lip News clip with Mark Sovel.
