California EPA Moves to Label Monsanto’s Glyphosate as a Carcinogen

The California Environmental Protection Agency announced today that it plans to label glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup, as a chemical “known to cause cancer.” This comes after recent findings by the World Health Organization and other scientists that the chemical is probably carcinogenic to humans and that there are potential negative health impacts tied to Roundup.
