New classified documents have been released showing abuse on suspected terrorist prisoners by the CIA. The release was brought on by a lawsuit by the ACLU. Some prisoners underwent fake burials. Others were confined in a small box with the assumption it was filled with stinging bugs, when in fact they were regular bugs. The CIA called these acts ‘extended interrogation techniques.’ The methods have constantly come under criticism about their legitimacy and accuracy of information they provide. Prisoners like Abu Zuybaydah were under such distress admitted to providing fake terror plots to escape the pain.
