Europe Scrambles to Prepare for Eclipse Blackout that Will Reduce Solar Grid

A solar eclipse on March 20 has Europe scrambling to make preparations to their solar power grid-which supplies 3% of Europe’s energy. The eclipse, which will block 90 percent of the sun for much of Europe, will remove some 35,000 megawatts of energy from the grid. The disruption to the power supply, and the necessity to learn to cope with renewable energy disruptions is discussed in this Lip News clip with Jo Ankier and Gabriel Mizrahi.
