FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler put forth a net neutrality proposal with the “strongest open Internet protections” the Internet has ever seen. The new rules would put stronger regulations on Internet service providers so that they cannot block any lawful Internet content or create “Internet fast-lanes” that would allow some Web services to pay for faster delivery of their content to homes. Those who oppose the plan say that stricter regulations impair growth and innovation, while supporters argue that growth will be promoted under the new regime. We take a look at the effort to protect net neutrality and to ensure a free and open Internet, in this Lip News clip with Jackie Koppell.
