Hundreds of makeshift shelters in the Calais “Jungle” are being destroyed by French riot police following overnight clashes. According to French authorities, roughly 1,00 people were affected by the eviction plan however, humanitarian groups claim there were more than triple that figure. The refugees are trying to claim asylum in the UK, not necessarily France. The refugee crisis is reaching a tipping point as several European countries are trying to send refugees elsewhere, trapping thousands of homeless refugees in Greece.
