Anti-Uber protests in France on Thursday got violent as taxi drivers set fire to vehicles and blocked major roads around airports and train stations, causing chaos in Paris and other French cities as part of the demonstration against the ride-booking app, known in France as UberPOP. American singer and actress Courtney Love got caught up in the violent protests when the car she was traveling in outside Paris was attacked as she live-tweeted the whole experience.
