The Flint water crisis yielded its first criminal charges on Wednesday. Two state regulators and one city employee were accused of tampering with evidence in addition to other offenses following an investigation by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette. The charges are connected both to the handling of a change in the city’s water supply in 2014 and to the ensuing cover-up by officials that the change had led to a dangerous amount of lead in the city’s drinking water. We look at the charges on the Lip News with Elliot Hill and Mark Sovel.
