LGBT and HIV-infected murders have risen 20% according to a new report from the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs. The 90-page report is based data collected from 13 member organizations in 12 states. According to the study the most vulnerable group is transgender women of color, who made up 54% of the homicides. The data was pulled from just under 1,200 reported incidents from 2015, making it the most dangerous year for transgender individuals.
