Islamist militant group al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack on Sunday that killed 30 people. Authorities say the group detonated a car bomb outside a busy junction in the city of Baidoa, Somalia. A suicide bomber then detonated a second blast in a busy restaurant where people were watching the English Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal. “We targeted government officials and forces,” al-Shabaab’s military operation spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab told Reuters. They have also warned ISIS to stay out of the region. Drawing the line between al-Shabaab’s political based attacks to ISIS civilian targeting.
