ISIS claimed responsibility today for the the National Bardo Museum attack in Tunis that left 23 people dead and many tourists wounded, but offered no evidence to prove the claim. The extremist group released an audio and written statement praising the attackers as “knights of the Islamic State” and warning of further bloodshed. The two gunmen who perpetrated Wednesday’s massacre have been killed by police while nine suspects connected with the gunmen have been arrested.
