Jordan executed two al Qaeda prisoners this morning in response to an ISIS video released yesterday where Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kasasbeh is shown being burned alive. The video was released after a week of failed prisoner exchange negotiations between Jordan and the Islamic State. The prisoners were Iraqi suicide bomber Sajida al-Rishawi and Iraqi Islamist Zyad al-Karbouli, a top aide to deceased leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Jordanian King Abdullah had met with President Barack Obama in Washington just a few hours before the hanging. We discuss the execution, in this Lip News clip with Jackie Koppell.
