Motorcyclist Gets Settlement After Cop Karate Kicks Him

An Oregon jury has found police captain Rob Edwards liable for $181,170 for karate kicking a motorcyclist Justin Wilkens and then using his police car to ram Wilkens during a traffic stop. Officer Edwards was sued for damages, medical bills and other expenses, awarding Wilkens roughly $31,000. Wilken’s injuries included a broken clavicle and fractured rib.
