N. Korea Ignores UN Sanctions and Launches Missiles Near Japan

North Korea fired six short range missiles into the sea off of the coast of Japan. The launch occurred hours after the UN passed the toughest sanctions against N. Korea in 20 years. The sanctions were needed after N. Korea’s recent nuclear test and long-range rocket launch in Pyongyang. Under the new sanctions, all cargo going in and out of the North Korea will be under tougher scrutiny, while 16 people and 12 organizations have been blacklisted. Margaret J.
