The ‘Fappening’ has inspired Google and Reddit to crack down on nude photos and other explicit content on their sites if the people in the photos or videos have not given their consent. After nude photos were hacked from the personal cloud of Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hungens and more, Reddit faced strong criticism for being the platform where stolen pictures were widely circulated. Does this mean a more hands on approach by Google and Reddit to the content they host, something they have strayed away from in the past?
