President Obama has drastically reduced aid to Syrian rebels supported by the CIA in recent months. While the government doesn’t have the resources to support these groups anymore, the explanation for the cuts becomes more complicated as the instability within various rebel brigades leads to trust issues as to who the money is actually going to and what purpose it’s serving. This raises the question of whether the U.S. should fund a number of people inadequately, and without results, or not fund anyone at all.
