Rand Paul Defends Right of Parents Not to Vaccinate Their Kids

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on Monday that parents should have a say in whether to vaccinate their children for measles. The likely 2016 presidential candidate’s support for voluntary vaccines follows the recent outbreak of measles, which has spread over several states. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie made similar comments on Monday before backtracking several hours later. Is this an issue of freedom? Should vaccination should be mandatory?
