Chicago police are using a secret ‘black site’ facility to detain US citizens for police questioning prior to being taken to a police station, booked, and formally charged, according to a report by The Guardian. The secret compound, located in Chicago’s Homan Square neighborhood, is being likened to CIA sites used for interrogating terrorists and has a reputation for keeping arrestees out of official databases and denying attorneys access to the facility.
