Skynet for Your Sperm? Tiny Robots Could Cure Infertility

A motorized device, branded a “spermbot,” which can deliver slow-swimming, but healthy sperm to an egg, has been developed by a team of German scientists from the Institute for Integrative Nanosciences in Dresden. The team created a miniature polymer helix, which they then coated in nickel and titanium so that it could be controlled magnetically to carry sperm to the wall of an egg.
