Costco has been accused of supporting slavery by selling farmed shrimp from Thailand, where human trafficking is widespread, and allegedly misleading consumers about it. A class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of a California resident on Wednesday and now, three California law firms are seeking an injunction to stop the US retail chain selling frozen shrimp from their Thai seafood supplier CP Foods, unless they are labelled as the produce of slavery.
