47-year-old Sanford Wallace, a hacker known as the “Spam King,” was sentenced Tuesday to 30 months in prison, five years of probation, and ordered to pay $310,000 in restitution after pleaded guilty to electronic mail fraud and criminal contempt of court back in August, 2015. Wallace, who is also known as “Spamford,” reportedly sent millions of unsolicited Facebook messages for a variety of scams. The sentencing stems from years of legal trouble Wallace has faced for spamming Internet users via email and various social networks.
