Cats prefer “species-appropriate” music, according to a recently published study in the Applied Animal Behavioral Science journal. In the study, researchers specifically created music for cats based on the frequency range and tempo used in their communication. The researchers found that cats showed a significant preference for and interest in the music that was designed for their listening pleasure compared with human music. We take a look at the study, in this Lip News clip with Gabriel Mizrahi and Jo Ankier.
