Suspects Sought in Shooting of 2 Police Officers in Ferguson

Two Ferguson police officers were shot and seriously injured early this morning near the Ferguson, Missouri police headquarters, an incident that occurred amidst ongoing protests in the city. Protests resumed after Ferguson police chief Thomas Jackson announced his resignation on Wednesday. Jackson’s decision came in the wake of a report from the U.S. Department of Justice accusing the city of racist police and court practices it said were focused on generating revenue, not justice. St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder have both issued a response to the shooting. Does this threaten the reforms that non-violent protestors are working towards? We take a look at video footage of the incident, in this Lip News clip with Mark Sovel and Elliot Hill.
