The youth members of the Swedish Liberal Party have motioned for necrophilia and incest to be legal. Though the acts are seen as “unusual and disgusting,” the youth in the Liberal Party believe that the main issue is consent, which, in the case of necrophilia, can be obtained in written form prior to death. According to Cecilia Johnsson, the Liberal Youth chairperson in Stockholm, “We don’t like morality laws in general, and this legislation is not protecting anyone right now.” The Liberal Party has publicly stated that it does not side with the Liberal youth.
