Tennessee Will Ring in the New Year with Online Animal Abusers Registry

Tennessee will post the photos of animal abusers in an online registry, modeled after the ones listing sex offenders, starting on January 1st, according to local news channel WREG. A person convicted of felony animal cruelty would have their picture up for two years, but if convicted again, their picture would be up for five years. The website will be run by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and is intended to give breeders a way to ensure that their pets are going to homes where they won’t be harmed.
