The owner and an employee of a Canadian beauty spa have been charged with extortion after a Winnipeg man says he was sexually assaulted and then blackmailed. Simple Mehta, the owner of Simi Magic Spa, is charged with extortion, procuring and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. The employee, Pam Sandu, is charged with extortion, voyeurism, sexual assault and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. The man alleges he visited the spa on business and was offered a massage. He claims he was then sexually assaulted and a video of the assault was used to blackmail him, according to Winnipeg police.
