The UN human rights council is examining Australia’s forced sterilization of disabled women as well as how they treat asylum seekers and indigenous people. The Women with Disabilities Australia does not have any laws to prohibit forced sterilization though it falls under the UN definition of torture. The WWDA are currently campaigning for the serialization of women with disabilities to happen only when there is informed consent. Margaret J.
