Would the US Support An Iraq Divided Into Three States?

Iraq should be split into three separate parts after ISIS is defeated, according to Masrour Barzani, head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Security Council. Barzani said Thursday that he believes Shi’ite Muslims, Sunnis and Kurds should all be given their own state in order to prevent further sectarian violence that has been ongoing since the US-led invasion in 2003.
