Synopsis

Whole Food has been fined $800,000 for overcharging customers by violating consumer pricing laws. The penalty came after authorities found, during a one year investigation of the supermarket chain, that food being purchased by customers weighed less than what the labels read. Authorities also found that customers were being charged not just by the weight of the food that they were buying, but by the weight of the containers as well. We take a look at consumer protection, in this Lip News clip with Gabriel Mizrahi and Mark Sovel.
