Why 30,000 Stoners Are Asking President Obama to Fire the DEA Chief

A petition asking President Obama to fire the Chief of the DEA Chief Chuck Rosenberg has reached nearly 30,000 signatures after Mr. Rosenberg called medical marijuana a “joke”. Marijuana Majority, a pro-legalization group, launched their petition on Change.org asking that “the President appoint a new DEA administrator who respects science, medicine, patients and voters”. While Rosenberg’s comments run contrary to scientific research, they do match the DEA’s stance on marijuana. Currently, medical marijuana is legal in 23 states and the District of Columbia.
