A Matrix-style “scalp-cap,” which uses the brain wave patterns of experts to speed up and enhance the training of novices, has been developed by a team of researchers led by Dr Matthew Phillips, a neuroscientist at HRL Laboratories in Malibu, California. The study used a technique called transcranial direct current stimulation, which sends electrical currents into the brain through the scalp.
