Fox shares a clip from the film, discusses how the effects of climate change created the Syrian Civil War and explains how a tree from his childhood helped spark a movement and film in this Sundance edition of BYOD hosted by Ondi Timoner.

In How to Let Go of the World and Love All The Things Climate Can’t Change, Oscar Nominated director Josh Fox (GASLAND) continues in his deeply personal style, investigating climate change – the greatest threat our world has ever known. Traveling to 12 countries on 6 continents, the film acknowledges that it may be too late to stop some of the worst consequences and asks, what is it that climate change can’t destroy? What is so deep within us that no calamity can take it away?

Josh Fox (born 1972) is an American film director, playwright and environmental activist, best known for his Oscar-nominated 2010 documentary, Gasland. He followed that up with the HBO production of Gasland Part II, which premiered on July 8, 2013 and was released on DVD on January 14, 2014. He is one of the most prominent public opponents of hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling. His new film How to Let Go of The World (And Love All the Things Climate Can’t Change) will premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
