THE AND is an interactive documentary that explores relationships across a wide scope of society, and then invites the watcher to essentially create their own cut of the short film based on their personality. What do sex, cheating, money, and communication mean to us, and what do we expect from our partners? We see the trailer, and explore the very personal concept with director Topaz Adizes in this full length, uncensored BYOD, hosted by Ondi Timoner.

Guest Bio

Topaz Adizes is an award winning Writer, Director & Storyteller. His films have been selected to Cannes (BOY), Sundance (Trece Años, Laredo Texas, {The And} Marcela & Rock), IDFA, SXSW, Cinéma Du Réel, and other festivals around the world. His interactive documentary {The And} won the World Press Photo award for Best Interactive Doc of 2014 and was a viral sensation reaching the top of Reddit and experienced by 4.5 million viewers, featured on the CBS Morning show with Charlie Rose and Gayle King, and selected to IDFA’s digital storytelling competition. Topaz’s work has exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Natural History Museum and United Nations Headquarters in New York, as well as featured in the NY Times and The New Yorker. He has also directed commercial work for clients including Netflix, Deloitte, Vogue, and WalkFree. Topaz is also the Founder and Creative Director of The Skin Deep, on online media collective which creates interactive projects making you rethink how you connect with others. {The And} is the first experience created by The Skin Deep.

THE AND is an interactive documentary that’s a collaboration between millennial marketing agency Noise, a project called The Skin Deep. The And explores relationships, communication, and how we connect to each other. Each visitor to the website will view a different short film — roughly a minute and a half long — based on answers to four questions posed at the beginning of the experience.
