UNDER THE GUN: Documentary Shows More Than You Think You Know About the Massive Gun Industry in America

UNDER THE GUN is a documentary that examines the four biggest mass shootings in United States history through the eyes of victims families and pro-gun activists. Beyond the banner events that direct scrutiny on the gun lobby, Filmmaker Stephanie Soechtig breaks down both sides of the gun debate while addressing gun violence statistics and myths, and manages to reveal some information that many will be shocked to learn regarding background checks, and the sheer amount of guns and gun stores in America. Soechtig also details the difficulty in speaking with the NRA and working with Katie Couric in this 2016 Sundance edition of BYOD hosted by Ondi Timoner.
