On June 18, 2014, Justin Ross Harris took his son Cooper to a Chick-Fil-A where he left him in the car for seven hours, as a result Cooper died. Juror selection and motions have been filed by both the defense and prosecution with expert testimony examining the location, distance and body. Former death investigator Joseph Scott Morgan sheds light on the evidence and discusses the role of forensics and social media. We also examine the shooting death of former NFL player Will Smith from the public perception of Will and the shooter, Cardell Hayes to the press coverage and claims of a second weapon in this episode of Crime Time hosted by Allison Hope Weiner.

Joseph Scott Morgan became a death investigator with the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office in suburban New Orleans in 1987, the youngest medicolegal death investigator in the country. During the day, Morgan worked in the morgue, and at night investigated for the coroner. In 1992 Morgan became senior investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Atlanta. He is a professor, and the author of BLOOD BENEATH MY FEET.
