Investigating MAKING A MURDERER’S Blood Evidence & the Murders of Missy Bevers & Angie Dodge

Netflix’ MAKING A MURDER follows Steven Avery-a Wisconsin man falsely convicted of rape and exonerated 18 years later. Two years after his release he was arrested for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Retired FBI special agent Steve Moore examines the blood evidence and investigation inconsistencies. Texas mother of three Missy Bevers arrived at a church one morning to teach an aerobics class when she was murdered in cold-blood by a person dressed in SWAT gear. Moore examines the case by breaking down the surveillance footage and Missy’s husband’s statement. We’ll also be discussing the criminal charges against two Michigan Department of Environmental Quality employees, who alleged falsified reports about Flint’s water to make the lead levels appear lower than they actually were. Finally, we discuss Christopher Tapp, who was convicted of the murder of Angie Dodge. Moore discusses his role in the investigation and the evidence that lead to his conviction in this episode of Crime Time hosted by Allison Hope Weiner.

Guest Bio

Steve Moore was appointed an FBI Special Agent in 1983 at the age of 25. He served as a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent for 25 years, retiring in 2008. Steve’s early career was spent in covert operations against white supremacist organizations in northern Idaho and the northwest. Later, he led the investigations of many high-profile crimes in LA, including the first ever conviction for an anthrax threat, the Buford Furrow shooting/murder spree at a Jewish Community Center and the interdiction of a planned attack on California’s second-largest oil refinery. Five of his bureau years were spent on the LA FBI SWAT team as an assault “Operator” and sniper. Several more years were spent as an FBI helicopter pilot-in-command. Ultimately, Steve built up over 6,000 hours of airplane and helicopter flight time. He retired in June, 2008. His recent book is titled Special Agent Man: My Life in the FBI as a Terrorist Hunter, Helicopter Pilot, and Certified Sniper.
