Bilal el-Berjawi was a suspected associate of senior Al Qaeda leadership in East Africa until he was killed by a drone strike in Somalia. Leaked Pentagon documents showed surveillance of al-Berjawi for years by the US, and an exchange of information with the British government used to facilitate his execution in Africa.
