Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Alex Morris graduated from Dartmouth College in 2002 with a degree in English. After completing the Columbia Publishing Course, Morris worked as an editorial assistant for Penguin’s Riverhead imprint and then as an assistant editor at Random House. Alex Morris has worked steadily as a freelance writer and reporter for Rolling Stone, New York Magazine and more.
