Terence Winter Talks Us Through His Collaboration with Scorsese and Mick Jagger: HBO’s VINYL

VINYL, HBO’s upcoming show about sex, drugs & rock ‘n’ roll in 1970s New York is explored with the show’s creator Terence Winter. Winter explains the role that executive producers Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger have in the show, how the show blends true stories with fiction, the process of casting (including leads Bobby Cannavale and Olivia Wilde), and the importance of music in the show. Guest Bio

Terence Winter is an Emmy winning writer and producer for TV and film. A graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, he practiced law in New York City before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a screenwriting career. He has written for and produced The Sopranos, created Boardwalk Empire, and in addition to writing several movies he wrote the screenplay for The Wolf of Wall Street. His current project is the HBO collaboration with Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger, VINYL.
