THE EQUALIZER 2014 writer Richard Wenk shares the upcoming film’s trailer and talks about working with Denzel Washington, Chloë Grace Moretz and Antoine Fuqua. He also gives a retrospective of his career as a screenwriter including working with and learning from great filmmakers like John Huston and Francis Ford Coppola to going on to write for big budget studio films like THE MECHANIC and THE EXPENDABLES 2 with actors like Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone, in this Insiders interview hosted by Sebastian Twardosz.

Richard Wenk is the writer of THE EQUALIZER starring Denzel Washington and Chloë Grace Moretz. His previous credits include writing THE EXPENDABLES 2 starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Liam Hemsworth; THE MECHANIC starring Jason Statham and Ben Foster; and 16 BLOCKS starring Bruce Willis and Mos Def. He also wrote and directed VAMP starring the indomitable Grace Jones.

Wenk got his start as an assistant to John Huston who wrote and directed The Maltese Falcon, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Asphalt Jungle, and The African Queen among many other classics. His short Dracula Bites the Big Apple ran on HBO and first got him noticed by B-Movie maestro Roger Corman who gave him his first feature—Vamp. Richard studied film at NYU.
