The founder and host of FreemanTV, Freeman Fly, is a preeminent purveyor of all things occult and esoteric, and sits down for a wide-ranging discussion about how his own history evolved into an intense study and interest in magic, UFOs, cloning and dark symbolism that he believes has even found its way into pop culture.
“I’d have to say it was a bit easier before the Internet to be the classified expert on these topics,” he says about how technology has changed the world. This whole world of the occult has now risen to the surface and now there’s numerous people who would claim to be the experts on these sort of science symbols and things that are going on.”
Fly reveals that he got into the esoteric themes through his father, whom he describes as “a worshipful master in the Freemasons,” and also a chaser of flying saucers. By the time he was born, he said his father was working on nuclear manufacturing for Martin Marietta.
It was this familial relationship that caused him to dig for more about “magic, the occult and esoteric arts,” which he believes stand at the heart of civilization, running beneath everything humans see as normal.
“(My father) said that he was stationed on a South Sea island and he had four radar dishes, and that he was part of Project Blue Book. He said he would sit at one of the radar dishes and whenever a flying saucer flew over, he was the one that would report it and record it.
“He was actually on the first killer submarine with Jimmy Carter, and I have pictures. They were on the submarines together and most of the first UFO sightings were actually USOs – submerged unidentified objects. So when you look into the first UFO it’s actually coming out of the ocean.”
“My past history is pretty crazy - dad chasing flying saucers and building nukes, and then mom, she was actually abused by the Catholics, in a Catholic home. And then saved by the Nazis from Catholic abuse, and then shipped off to France, to be raised by a witch.”
Fly also speaks about one of his favorite topics, Akhenaten - one of the most famous pharaohs of ancient Egypt - and actually links the figure to President Barack Obama.
He points out a news article from the New York Times in 1985, which he says was also written up in the prestigious magazine Nature, to state that in 1985, DNA was cloned from a mummy during the period of Akhenaten. “Now this is not to say that they brought this mummy to life, but in 1985 they absolutely proved that they could clone cells from a mummy.
“Barack Obama himself came forward and announced that he was releasing the restrictions on the federal funding to stem cell research. But he added that he felt human cloning for reproduction was an abomination, not to be practiced in any nation.”
At this point in the interview, Fly shows a picture of Akhenaten’s mother, Queen Tiye, and compares this to an image of Michelle Obama. “If you got that picture of (Obama’s) high school photo and you were to crossfade these two images, you would clearly see that they are the same person.”
He also displays what he calls “Barackenaten” - a combination of Obama’s Time magazine photo and an image of Akhenaten, with the faces split in half. Fly claims he didn’t resize either of the images. “I cut them straight in half and I put them together and they are an exact match. So now we have two faces of a single family of Egypt and a single family that is the First Family.”
Delving into the pop culture links to the past, Fly reveals that he believes R&B superstar Beyonce could be the new Nefertiti -the royal wife of Akhenaten.
“And Jay-Z, I have suspicions that he might have been Akhenaten’s replacement, who was known as Smenkhkare. And I have yet to find a good picture of Smenkhkare to be able to compare the two. But if all the rest of it be true, then Jay-Z would be Smenkhkare.”
When questioned about the symbolism in major film titles over the past several years, and specifically the fact that in 2012, the word “dark” appeared in at least 10 feature films, including The Dark Knight Rises, Fly agrees that the topic is full of consistencies and notes that he’s written extensively about this phenomenon.
“I definitely have released a number of videos about the Dark Knight rising, and have actually been covering this since the death of Anna Nicole Smith,” he revealed.
