5 Tasty and Classy Cocktails to Spice Up Holiday Parties

With Thanksgiving days away and Christmas just around the corner, we’re mixing and tasting some of the hottest cocktail concoctions for your holiday parties.

Taking over the role of holiday mixologist is “Urban Ninja” Jenn Wong, a frequent writer about food and drink secrets across Los Angeles and the latest libation trends.

Jenn - who dispenses tips and tricks on her website Way of the Wong – begins with a festive sparkling cocktail called the Homecoming Queen, consisting of:

1 oz Apple Jack

1 oz Strong Tonic

Champagne

Next up she unveils a punch mixture that Jenn said is ideal for holiday parties because its alcohol level is lower and it can be whipped up in advance in a big bowl.

Travelling Emporium Punch

1 ½ parts Hendrick’s Gin

2 parts seasonal herbal tea of your choosing

1 part fresh lemon juice

1 part simple syrup

1 part sparking water

3 dashes Angostura bitter lemon & cucumber wheels to garnish

Snappy take on a classic:

SNAP Old Fashioned

1 oz SNAP

1.5 oz Bourbon

.25 oz simple syrup

Dash of Angostura bitter organge peel

Stir in a large ice cube

Dessert in a glass:

The Midnight Express

2 oz VEEV

1 oz Espresso

Dash of vanilla

2 tsp brown sugar

Jenn’s favorite mixer drink:

Tea Toddy
