CLAUDE LANZMANN: SPECTRES OF THE SHOAH is an Academy Award-nominated documentary short film exploring the impact and creation of SHOAH by French director Claude Lanzmann. Journalist and first time filmmaker Adam Benzine details Lanzmann’s hunt for Holocausts survivors and Lanzmann’s interview with the Barber of Treblinka, Abraham Bomba, who was forced to cut women’s hair before they were gassed. Benzine also discusses why Lanzmann wanted to interview concentration camp survivors in this BYOD highlight hosted by Ondi Timoner.
