The MC5, and the White Panther Party is discussed with former MC5 member, Wayne Kramer. Huey P. Newton’s call for a parallel group of revolutionary white people to mirror the Black Panthers, combined with the activism of John Sinclair and the 60s struggle against the overwhelming oppression of the day is reflected on. Kramer also takes off any rose-colored glasses with regards to the romanticized violent protest movement, and approaches the history with the insight of an elder statesman in this excerpt from the Talk Show interview, hosted by Harper Simon.
