The Mongols Motorcycle Club has become the center of a strange controversy over their colors and trademark. The convicted outlaw biker gang’s trademarked symbol has then been used by others against the protests of the reformed club who insist they are a legitimate club now. The government’s assertion that the criminal group cannot protect their colors, and the club’s position of being free to protect their insignia against outside use is being argued in the court, and we look closer at the legal fight from both sides with journalist Frank Girardot in this excerpt from Media Mayhem with host Allison Hope Weiner.
