Investigative reporter and author Ronald Kessler – who is considered one of the nation’s foremost experts on the U.S. Secret Service – reveals White House secrets resulting from exhaustive research into how the current and former presidents interacted with their personal security detail.
The author of The First Family Detail said the one person considered “the most detested by the Secret Service” is Hillary Clinton. “Being assigned to her detail is actually considered a form of punishment because she is so nasty to agents,” he said. “And yet, here is a woman who professes to be a compassionate person, cares about the little people, she going to a champion for the middle class. And behind the scenes, she treats those very same people with contempt.
He said his sources were pretty consistent in their feelings towards the former First Lady. “And this is a clue to character that I pursue in the book, that we should look at character, we should look at track record when we choose a president, as opposed to how well they smile on TV or what they promise, because most of the time they renege on those promises.”
Kessler also provided more intimate details of life behind-the-scenes for the Clintons. “The book reveals that on a current basis, Bill Clinton has this mistress mentioned, who’s been unofficially codenamed “energizer” by the agents.” He says that in contrast to Hillary, the alleged mistress – who he describes as a “busty blonde” – has a reputation as treated the Secret Service agents very well and has even been known to bring them cookies.
